coFood Collaborative Garden Project
265 East 4th Ave (between Main Street and Scotia Street)
Put on your boots and gardening gloves, and raise a shovel with us! We are continually and collaboratively creating a food garden with places to sit and relax, and you’re invited to help us make it a spectacular outdoor community meeting place.
We share the air!
Allergies & Sensitivities
Smoking is not permitted at this event. To support our neighbours with allergies and sensitivities, please avoid wearing scents.
For folks with EMF sensitivities, please be aware that there are WiFi signals in the garden from neighbouring buildings.
Accessing the coFood Collaborative Garden
Terrain
Some areas of the garden are accessed by going down several brick stairs and weaving through wood-mulch pathways.
Ground Level Access
Folks may enter the garden at ground level through the entrance on East 4th Avenue, which is accessible for many folks attending with strollers or mobility supports.
Ground level access is also available through the driveway next to the shipping container, accessed from the alley between East 4th Avenue and Great Northern Way.
Washrooms
There is a single-stall, all gender, wheelchair-accessible washroom on the ground level of the building next door.
Bikes
Bike racks are available at the building next door, on East 4th Avenue.
Parking
There is free street parking nearby, but it can take time to find a spot, and it may be a few blocks away from the garden.
Additional Access Needs
The needs of folks with hearing impairments are important to us, and in time we’d like to build capacity for ASL interpretation at our events.
Please notify us in advance of your accessibility needs by emailing hello@cofoodvancouver.com, and we will do our best to meet your requests.
